Our Story

Inspiring the Next Generation of Learners

We believe every student deserves access to quality education. Through mentorship, AP tutoring, and English fluency programs, we're breaking down barriers one student at a time.

FROM STUDENT TO EDUCATOR

ConnectSTEM alumni and advanced student leaders return to teach and guide the next generation.

Fourteen ConnectSTEM alumni now serve as instructors, general managers, and student counselors through EMET-STEM, providing free academic instruction and leadership to students in grades 5–11. Their work spans advanced AP courses, core science and mathematics classes, academic program management, and student guidance.

Founders

Built by Students Who Wanted to Give Back

EMET-STEM began with two ConnectSTEM alumni who chose to return and share what they had learned with younger students.

Why EMET-STEM Began

After reflecting on how much they had learned and received through their time with ConnectSTEM, Taehong Kim and Kelly Kim began asking fellow alumni whether they felt the same way.

Many alumni strongly agreed.

Rather than simply moving on, they wanted to give back by sharing what they had learned with younger students. That shared desire brought alumni together and helped initiate EMET-STEM—an educational initiative created to provide academic guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to students who can benefit from it.

What began with two students wanting to give back has grown into a broader alumni-led community of instructors, program leaders, counselors, and mentors supporting the next generation.

The goal was never simply to receive opportunities, but to pass them forward.
