No Per-Paper Fee
Students are not charged separately for each manuscript, research project, or publication.
Students who demonstrate the initiative and readiness to pursue additional work may develop multiple projects without a separate per-paper charge.
Publication Is Not Guaranteed
Manuscripts may move through submission, revision, resubmission, rejection, acceptance, or publication through the independent processes of external journals.

ConnectSTEM is fee-supported, but research outcomes are not purchased or guaranteed. Students may remain for multiple years, pursue multiple projects without per-paper fees, move through real submission and revision processes, and continue selected work through scientific presentation, external collaboration, community initiatives, and alumni mentorship.
We encourage families, students, and independent reviewers to examine the evidence directly.

ConnectSTEM is a student research and mentorship ecosystem where students develop research questions, participate directly in the research process, analyze results, develop their own manuscript drafts, and extend their work into community impact and peer leadership.
Program participation fees support sustained mentorship, research training, feedback, and program operations. ConnectSTEM does not charge students per manuscript or per publication, and journal submission, acceptance, or publication is never guaranteed.
How ConnectSTEM Research Works
ConnectSTEM is a research mentorship program — not a journal, publisher, or publication service.
Student-Owned Research
Students are expected to develop their research questions, conduct or participate directly in the research process, analyze their results, and develop their own manuscript drafts.
Mentor Guidance, Not Ghostwriting
Mentors provide scientific guidance, methodological feedback, interpretation support, and revision feedback. Mentors do not complete manuscripts for students or sell authorship.
Publication Is Not Guaranteed
Journal submission is one possible research outcome. Editorial review, revision requests, acceptance, and rejection are determined independently by journals and are never guaranteed by ConnectSTEM.

Research Beyond Publication

Publication is not the endpoint of the ConnectSTEM model. Students are encouraged to extend research into further experiments, community initiatives, educational programs, independent organizations, research teams, and peer mentorship.
Research may continue beyond an initial project through follow-up studies, student-led research teams, community impact projects, educational initiatives, or mentorship of younger students.

Does every ConnectSTEM research project become a publication?
No. Research projects may result in continued experimentation, presentations, community impact activities, educational initiatives, manuscript development, journal submission, or other research outcomes. Publication is only one possible outcome.
